About Winston Siegel
Winston has been advising high-growth service businesses
for many years and is typically engaged to work with
management to drive marketing and process innovation, and
strengthen the leadership team. A skillful facilitator, he
helps his clients focus on priorities, improve their
decision making and find common sense solutions to complex
problems. He once had aspirations for comedy but now scuba
dives instead.
Past engagements inside Call Centre and service
operations include change leadership in sales and marketing,
integrating major consolidations, and advising on
organizational and communication strategy. Winston is also
the lead designer of SwitchGear’s “Leadership Performance
Program” which accelerates the development for First-Line
Leaders in Call Centres.
After receiving his MBA from Schulich, his career led him to
helping start-up Livent of Canada with the launch of The
Phantom of the Opera and Pantages Theatre in 1989. He led
their profitable merchandising operations across North
America and Europe where his innovations in “retailing on
the road” and product development tripled revenues compared
with industry averages. Later he joined Lavalife as VP,
Operations where he led North American and Australian
customer service operations through growth from $35M to $80M
until becoming President in 1998.
He regularly volunteers his time and currently sits as Board
Chair, VON Toronto/York, a community care foundation -- and
teaches business through Junior Achievement.
A favourite quote:
“A great organization is not designed to require geniuses or
supermen to manage it. It must be organized to successfully
work under a leadership composed of average human beings.” |
